Capital Property Group is a Canberra based family-owned company with over 40 years of experience in property development and infrastructure management across multiple asset classes; we are passionate about shaping vibrant, sustainable communities. With a focus on quality and innovation, we have been delivering standout residential, commercial, infrastructure and mixed-use developments in Australia for over four decades.

Renowned for the acquisition and transformation of Canberra Airport in 1998, the Group has since invested over $3 billion into aviation, commercial, and retail infrastructure—reimagining the integrated precinct as a modern, sophisticated transport and business hub. This redevelopment includes Brindabella Business Park (175,000 sqm), Majura Park (100,000 sqm), the Fairbairn precinct (80,000sqm), and a landmark $550 million domestic and international terminal. All civil works, infrastructure, and landscaping have been delivered in-house, guided by a rigorous and visionary master planning process.

Our developments draw on decades of experience and are underpinned by award-winning precinct design. We have delivered Canberra’s world-class airport, the thriving Majura Park Shopping Centre, four premier business precincts, and Denman Prospect—a community that redefines remarkable living in Canberra. Following the success of Constitution Place, we remain committed to elevating office development standards and driving the revitalisation of Canberra’s city centre.

At the heart of our approach is place-making: the creation of elegant, purposeful spaces that foster identity, connection, and lasting impact. Every project reflects our dedication to excellence in design, sustainability, and community building—meeting today’s needs while shaping a better future.

Beyond Canberra, with a focus on regional Australia, Capital Property Group is an investor in a number of other developments and assets across Australia, including Aura, a master-planned community on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland and Casuarina Square in Darwin.

Chief Executive Officer Stephen Byron leads Capital Property Group and has guided the Group since the 1998 acquisition of Canberra Airport by his late father, Terry Snow. He has deep expertise in property development, having previously served as Development Manager for Capital Property Trust and Capital Property Corporation.

Richard Snow, Stephen’s cousin, brings over 20 years of experience in commercial, retail, and residential property investment and development. Since joining Capital Airport Group in 2009, he has led the management of the non-aviation property portfolio at Canberra Property Group. This has included playing a key role in transforming the Canberra Airport business precincts into a dynamic business and lifestyle destination.
